CoolEdit/Adobe Audition filters

These are import/export filters for the Adobe Audition audio editing program (that was called CoolEdit before Adobe bought it).

The first download contains the Fraunhofer MP3 filters for CoolEdit 2000 / CoolEdit Pro 1.0 (Pro 2.0 does not need them as it comes with an FhG MP3pro filter built-in). There is an older filter that only encodes to CBR (probably based on MP3enc) and a newer one that also offers VBR encoding (likely based on Fastenc). You can even install both simultaneously, but that can cause confusion as both export options appear with the same name in the Save As dialog.

The second download is the rare Syntrillium open source MP1/2 encoder and decoder that were based on MAenc and MAplay. Accuracy is not really good and speed is atrocious, but they have the merit of being the first MPEG Audio input and output filters for CoolEdit.

The third download is a much faster and more accurate decoder based on an improved version of MAplay that adds MP3 support. Also included is an updated ACM filter that can save to MP3 without WAV headers if you have an MP3 ACM codec installed.

Finally, several filters created by Peter Pawlowski, of Winamp and Foobar2000 fame, for importing/exporting Ogg Vorbis, MP3 using Lame, VQF, WMA, and AUD formats.
