All VoxWare voice compression products are based on a proprietary technology
that seems to be quite unique in the compression world: MetaVoice. Instead of
compressing the voice samples like all other compression methods, MetaVoice
models every detail of them (resonance, pitch, timbre, timing, and character) and
reconstructs the speech from this "recipe" at the decoder.

There are three VoxWare tools available here. ToolVox Player is just that -
a VoxWare player. ToolVox Gold is an encoder and decoder of voice streams.
TeleVox is an internet telephony application trial that expires after 14
days (but it does not matter, you can not use it since its directory servers
have gone offline ages ago).
