Blade MP3 encoder

Blade was developed by Tord Jansson. It started as a compile of the dist10 sources but soon Jansson started tweaking speed and quality, mostly at high bitrates (around 192 and 256kbps)

Development officially ceased on 2002-08-11, although by then an year had already passed since the last update. The developer recommended users switch to Ogg Vorbis.

A mirror of the official page is available at archive.org. And you can check the entire changelog here.
